HELP FAMILIES IN NEED

Welcome to the Good Stuff Foundation!

Our mission is to help families in need during the holidays. The Adopt-a-Family for the Holidays project was started in 2021, and has since progressed into a huge yearly community effort.

We, Ash & Tom Hodgson, Annick de Goede and Tracy Mercer, are striving to make a difference in our community, and this Foundation will be the basis out of which we will be doing that.

Currently, we are providing support during the December holiday season to families in the Greater Trail/Castlegar areas (Canada, BC), but our dreams are bigger and eventually we are hoping to support families in need for all special occasions.

Join us in bringing hope and joy to those who need it most.

We are a registered not-for-profit under the BC Societies Act. We are hoping to achieve charity status in the next couple years, but for now, we are unable to provide tax receipts.

HOW TO SPONSOR/DONATE

There is a couple of options for helping our cause;

1. Sponsoring a full family

Fill out our sign-up form, where you can indicate what size family you could support or what your budget is. You will then be matched anonymously to a family in need that falls within your budget, and you can get shopping! Alternatively, you could send money to the foundation, and we go shopping for you.

2. Donating physical goods

If you have a smaller budget, but you still want to help, you can buy loose goods as well. New items only and NO GIFTS FOR KIDS. We get a lot of them from the Re/Max Toy Drive. Please refer to our loose donation information (bottom of Sponsor page) to get an idea of what we would love to receive.

3. Donating money

Cash donations for the program can be dropped off at Kootenay West Distilling (1180 Cedar ave Trail), Commodity Trail BC (1186 Cedar ave Trail); for Castlegar, please reach out to us. E-transfers, please reach out for the proper e-mail. We don't have the email on the website, to avoid scam/spam. You can also pay with Credit Card through our Donate tab.
